Sorry I can't answer your question about the Michi Q5. For what it is worth, I have a Lumin X1 going direct to my Michi 8 Amps. Very happy with this combo.
I am really impressed with the Michi 8 build and sound quality. Way underpriced IMHO.

Is it comparable to Esoteric quality?
I have an Esoteric K05x, excellent value for money, I love its sound.
I listen to Michi M8 & B&w 802d3. Maybe the new Michi Q5 is newer, better, more advanced, and has more synergy?
