You're in deep water. There's no way to replace the motor on this table. If you want to get it running, you need to find a tech that can diagnose the problem and fix it. It might be best to start a new forum with a more explicit title like: Looking for turntable repair shops. I wish you the best of luck. -Mark
Micro Seiki MR-711 DD Turntable, Motor Bust??

I’m a complete novice in the audio/hifi field so I will keep this blunt, and any information would be greatly appreciated.
I have recently acquired a micro seiki mr-711 dd turntable. The platter doesn’t turn... I gather this is because the motor is knackered. Would anybody out there know any good companies to source a motor, any information about fitting it and also just any information in general about common problems with these tables etc?
This record player has enormous sentimental value to me so I really want to do all I can to get her back to her former glory.
