I am not sure what you are getting at. There is no way to get around the need for RIAA correction; that's what any phono stage does, MM or other. The only alternative to using an MM phono stage (meaning a phono stage with gain sufficient only for a cartridge with at least 2-3mV output) would be to buy a high gain phono stage and dispense with your transformers. Since the output of your VdH is high-ish for an MC, there are many products that would do the trick without the need for a SUT.
