my cd player makes a clicking sound

I have a question about my cd player. I put a cd in and sometimes it just clicks and doesnt want to spin. I took it apart and see that when the laser goes back to home it sometimes make a clicking sound. Is this a simple fix or adjustment? Its a YBA CD Special by the way......Thanks for any help I recieve.

You probably just have to clean the mechanism (don't go overboard with solvants -- just use alcohol) and then relube it with grafite lubricant. If you DON't feel sure about this, get a technician to do it. You must NOT touch the laser lens.

Probably your cd lense is dying. The manufacturer might help you to find which optical unit is used for. If you are lucky, you have a relatively cheap mass model.
