Need help to buy amp for Gallo 3.5 speakers

I am new here. I hope someone can help me out. I am looking for a 500+ watt amp to drive my power hungry Gallo 3.5's. Budget is "UP TO" US$3000. Most people don't ship to Canada in the used market. I found one, from a store, in Europe. I couldn't finish the transaction because of language barrier. The guy told me to wire him the money. I thought eBay/Amazon all advise "NOT TO". Then I found a pair of adcom 555 II in my city.
Questions
1. My first pick is the one from Europe, but worry. (US$1600)
2. Demo the pair of adcom in my space (US$700)
3, buy new emotiva XPA-DR2 US$1800 or a pair of XPA-DR1's US$2500
Any input is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You don’t need 500 watts for speakers with 88DB sensitivity. You should check out Odyssey Audio. Plenty of choices for under 3 grand!

No, you dont need 500 watts. And I seem to remember that a separate amp is recommended for the subwoofer in the 3.5's.

Thank you Yogiboy. since I don't have the benefit of testing the amp with you gear I can only go by, mostly, online research. Tons of pros and cons. I narrowed down to Spectron Musician III because Gallo tested these speakers with it. If it is good enough for Mr Gallo it speaks volumes. I realize that does not guarantee total satisfaction, in my space, with my gear, to my ears. Anyhow, I shall check out your advice.
What about New vs Pre-Owned? Many people suggest Emotiva will give me best bang for my dollars. But it is not even in the same league of Spectron. Thank you in advance.
Thank you Lowrider for your kind input. Online research tells me, to the best of my understanding, The second voice coil requires HUGE power. Gallo designed a Sub Amp for that reason. Because the mids/highs amp and Sub Amp have different inputs, the internal crossover of the speakers are disabled. One has to calibrate the SA, according to the room, gear and music. Either not working out or too complicated for common folks like me to deal with, perhaps, I suspect, that's why Gallo used a big amp to drive the entire speaker in ONE single input.
Ideally, I like to have a blind test. Be a $50,000 MBL or $500 Adcom, as long as it sounds good to my ears, I think so am good. Thank you again for your kind input.
