I do not see the draw to this type of device, when a htpc can do all of it cheaper and most likely easier long term. I'd try to send it back if it does not sound ALOT better than your laptop...
Netgear cyber server for audio playback?
I just got a Netgear EVA9000 Music server from Pacific Valve Co. and Im not sure I like it as much as my HP laptop! It seems a little thin in the lower midrange like 200Hz to 500Hz. I was curious if anyone have had similar or better results or maybe some advice? I am at a loss right now. I feel like I just wasted my money so I hope Im just inexpirienced with music servers.
