New OFC Power Cord from Ice Age Audio

This is Rick with Ice Age Audio.  I wanted to make everyone aware of our new OFC Power Cord.  While our original line of Power Cords remains the foundation of our company, our new OFC Power Cord takes everything to the next level.  It’s available in both 15 and 20 amp versions. It’s constructed from our Cryo Treated, Soft Drawn, Solid core, 99.9999% Pure Oxygen Free Copper Wire.  It’s the same wire that we use for our Interconnects, USB and Speaker Cables, each item using a different configuration.  Stu McCreary of Positive-Feedback Magazine is currently preparing a review of our entire product line.  After trying/demoing our assorted products, he came back to me and stated…My system has never sounded this good!!!  This is coming from a person who has been writing reviews for the industry for 40+ years.  Stu is now using our OFC series in his own personal listening system.  This is also the case for Don Sachs, builder of High End Tube Gear. and John Mingo, founder (now retired) of Baetis Music and Media Servers. This cable has the warmth of Copper, along with the detail of Silver, without the harshness.  The sound stage is HUGE, with warm, low bottom end, accurate instrument placement and precise up front vocals.  We are NOT a Smoke-N-Mirrors Company, we simply offer a product that works, at a fair price.

Got to come back and mention how much I have enjoyed these cables the last 10 months. Hope more find these. Currently using about 10 of the OFC series power cables and other IceAge cables. Can genuinely say I've enjoyed every dollar of it all so far

No need to spend a fortune, $600 or $1200 per cable for other cryo treated OCC cables to drop noise floor IMO just get these and buy a nice new amp instead

I use the OFC series cable on my reference grade masterclock that replaced my last clock which was a high end clock. I tested several cables on my last higher end masterclock and the OFC Series worked quite nicely on there vs several others so I am confident with them on my new clock. Drop in noise floor, smooth flow keeping ground flow nice helps coax and BNC to run smoother, deeper and clearer. Can hear it right away even unsettled

At one point I put in 6 of the OFC series in earlier this year with some other cryo treated cables in the back end and they replaced highly reviewed and praised audiophile grade cables. It significantly dropped the noise floor even further right away unbroken in

For the price just extra dang good I think

There is awesome effects on tube amp with these cables that made me smile for days, will never forget that first time.

The USB cable has been a go-to in many cases for a year or more. Very nice balance for overaller, not overly aggressive, easy to enjoy the music and has beat any of my other USB how it can synergize quite a few times notably. It is my favorite USB to simply enjoy the music with potent headphones and mobile equipment no worry about fatigue

I enjoy it in my main system when I do as well. I enjoy several USB quite a bit, tubulus concentus, sablon 2020, supra excalibur.

RCA/XLR have enjoyed them quite a bit particularly with warm/warm setups can make for a very nice euphoric, heavy laden cascade of tone and bass with realistic imaging, extra nice for me with warm tubes and the right warm/neutral headphones.

I plan to experiment with, enjoy and test and understand these cables for more years to come. I think later this year or next year I may see them at their best yet again.

@slaw I can answer that I think

The OFC series is OCC (ohno continuous cast) cryo copper. That copper more expensive even lower noise floor and different design and sound too

The regular original power cable I believe uses non-occ ofc cryo copper. I own about 12 of these really good to me for the price, some short ones only $65 nice drop in noise vs regular cables no doubt but not as good as the OFC series OCC

Would like to comment more, iceage deserves attention! Yes I am a fan. Enjoying the OCC cryo XLR today, nice extra fluidity in stage, not too aggressive or over focused with matrix pure dac using silver i2s out of clock into WA22 vs my other more expensive XLR it is the best choice, smoother vocals, even a bit of relief with such an aggressive setup some of the time for me with these. Nice to have these around.

Quite a few small companies fly completely under the radar in todays marketing world hard to find them no doubt. Noticeably better customer service and ability to easily contact the owner directly is bonus as well. I'm sure I can get a fairly quick turnaround on a cable repair or alteration if I need it years from now
