all my ads are for tubes, athletic gear (running mostly but also lifting and diet) and other things I’ve googled lately.  I think you mean ads in the margins, not popups which are a new window and more concerning.

I hate it when I have to google something that I don’t know what it is--often something that I would never want. and then I get popups for that thing for a couple of weeks.

I get a lot of gross ads from Temu, from whom I've never purchased or sought out a product for purchase. It's the kind of stuff I would be embarassed to have someone see if they looked over my shoulder while I was visiting a (checks notes) audio enthusiast website.

I don't know. Sometimes the ads can be very helpful when making a purchase.

I am giving these out to guests at a dinner party tomorrow night.
