Ohm speakers

  • Hello.Hopefully this request is not out-of-bounds, but I am trying to find anyone in the Ann Arbor area that owns a pair of Ohm speakers that may be willing to assist in an audition. I am interested in the micro Walsh tall, but I understand that the line sounds very similar regardless of the model. Being a social worker, I don’t really have the capital to tie up the funds in speakers- unless I can guarantee that they are ‘keepers’ (well as much as any audiophile can keep equipment upgrade-itis at bay). I currently have a pair of GoldenEar Aon 3 (with a Hsu sub) in the room, but my significant other does not like the aesthetic of that combo. Thanks for looking.

+1 jperry.
You could listen to a pair in someone’s house and in someone else’s system, but what would that really accomplish? If you’re really serious, order a pair for a home trial. You’ll get to see how they sound in your environment and the added plus will be that you’ll have the opportunity to see if your S.O. will let you have them.
I have a pair of 4’s in West Bloomfield that you’re welcome to listen to. Upgrades are in order and should be in by August, although I hear they take a while to break in… send a private message if interested.
I am in peoria illinois and i have the ohm walsh 4 speakers with the five drivers in them called the super four and they are very magical speakers in many ways for all kinds of music but a small walsh is better for smaller more intimate music.
Hello all. Thank you for your suggestions/recommendations. I have been in the middle of a kitchen remodel and haven’t had much time to engage in my musical passion this past week. I appreciate the few offers to come over for a listen, but I think I am going to bite the bullet and order a set for an actual speakers, though I may look at the 1000 over the Micro Walsh Tall, as it is easier to adjust a bigger pair in the room than it is to bump up a smaller pair. Home audition is the only way to tell what they sound like in my dedicated space.I did email them and asked if they do any finishes such as black or white lacquer, and they can do so. That made my wife a little happier and that is apparently my job around here. Auditioning speakers is hard enough, I can’t imagine that doing so for a significant other would be easy- not to mention the cost of returning one if they don’t work out. You all have been great. Happy listening everyone.
