Wait, there are people who don't subscribe to the paper of record!  I'm shocked, deeply shocked.

There is also a Herb Reichert Gramaphone Dreams article on the "Ojas System" in Stereophile. I thought it was really interesting and made me want to hear it.

I'm a believer in the "many mansions" approach to this audiophile thing.

Why? The man has a background in audio engineering, is genuinely passionate and driven in this endeavor of his, and has a vast knowledge and experience with vintage audio gear and sound reproduction overall (look up several YouTube vids, apart from the ones by the Mr. Guttenberg above). Seems to me he has every reason and qualification to pursue this field.

@Ross Salinger Why do you feel the need to lecture here about any of this? Including double blind testing, and level matching. Sorry to tell you but expensive things, whether cars, clothes, jewelry, homes, home furnishings, musical instruments, you name it, and yes HI-FI too, tend to be better made and better performing and better looking (though not these things) and just plain better, than items built to a price point, which can offer better value. Yes a KIA will get you to the super market as well as a Ferrari but don't tell me or anyone that the Ferrari is all about vanity or ignorance. And yes! I've done double blind speaker testing at Harman's Northridge testing center and done pretty well but ultimately, we buy what we like based on whatever we think moves us. Klipschhorns and these pretty homely looking things are easy to beat if you don't like horn speakers but if you do, Klipsch are great, OMA—another Brooklyn based company that builds more attractive speakers— are great and I'm sure these are too. You sound bitter about something. Is it that you can't afford these?
