Olivia Newton John Passes at age 73

R.I.P. Olivia

"You're The One That I Want" is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's pure Power Pop, along the lines of ABBA, whose music I adore. I consider The Ramones a Pop group too.

It sounds like she had a rough several years. Ironic though, since I remember her always being such a fitness guru. I guess dying is part of life after all.

I met her in 1983 when she opened a clothing shop a few blocks from where I lived (helped me pick out sweaters for a couple of little girls - friends kids).

She asked me what colors they liked and I said "I really don't pay much attention to clothing" - she looked me up and down, smiled and nodded her head.

We then went over their hair/eye/skin color and size (the girls loved the sweaters).

Very nice and quick witted lady.
