Preamp Deal of the Century

If anyone is looking for a true "World Class" preamp at a very fair price..heed my advice. I just recieved a Supratek Syrah preamp that was hand built by Mick Maloney in Western Australia, and it is absolutely beautiful! This preamp is the best deal you will ever find. I would put it up against any preamp out there for both looks and sound. Price? $2500 for the Syrah (includes Killer Phono stage). Not into phono? Try the Chardonney line stage for $2100. Don't get me wrong, I am not associated with this company. I am just a very happy owner! This preamp is VERY dynamic, yet liquid. I was told by Mike around the end of March and confirmed on the early of May again that he will try to finish my pre-amp around the early week of July. Now it is about four weeks away from the delivery date. After reading a few response on this thread, I am kind of nervous about getting my pre-amp on time. Any comments.

Anyone had any feedback from Mick lately on a timetable for your preamp?

I ordered mine Feb. 15th and haven't received it yet. I don't know if it is in the works or if Mick has even started it yet. I don't want to bug Mick, but I am curious if anyone else has received info on their order.

Fiddler - Like you and others I'm just sitting tight. Obviously none of us want to bug Mick every 15 days but I'm surprized (worried) to know you haven't heard anything yet. I was hoping to receive mine by the end of June. Doesn't look like it will happen -- what a pain in the &$@%.

I once tried counting the number of units in order just from this thread alone - I beleive it was 11 or 12. Without additional hands/help I don't think Mick can pull off the 3-month arrears.

Hey, has anyone who has ordered a preamp received one yet? I would like to purchase a new preamp but will wait until some of you guys receive yours so I know this company is for real.

I check this thread almost everyday to see if Fiddler got his yet since ordered about 5 weeks before I did. The fact that he has not disturbs me. On 6/5 I received a email response from Mick saying it would be another 2 or 3 weeks which would put my total wait at about 13 weeks. Fiddler has been waiting longer than that now.
