Purchasing a Technics SP-10MKIIA what to watch for

I am going to drive 200+ mls this coming sat.to pick up what is said to be a ( never used ) unit with the original base,dust cover, power supply and AT-ATP-12T arm professionally installed. ALL in MINT condition.
What do I need to look for that could potentually be a problem? What do I need to do before plug in? Any special break-in procedures? Any suggestions and advice will be helpfull. I would also like some advise as how much to spend if that is OK.

take a cartridge, mount it and play 33 and 35 speeds. A strobe would also be a handy test.
