Rockport Mira VS Rockport Atria II

I recently heard the Atria II up against Sonus Faber Serafino and Magico A3. I really liked the Atria II but I thought it needed a little more in the bottom end. Dealer had the Avior II and that did the trick ... problem was the cost to go to the bigger speaker, $11k for an extra 9" woofer?? Still trying to rationalize a pair of speakers for near $40k or sending one of my kids to college.

I am always looking at stuff here on audiogon and came upon a pair of Miras. Much less expensive than any of the new models I was looking at. Has anyone heard the Mira and Atria and can compare similarities and differences. The Mira speakers are all the way in Delaware and I am in California. Big savings if they share sonic characteristics. I was thinking that the Atria would be more detailed in the highs than the Mira due to the beryllium ... but maybe not. I thought the Atria even with slightly less weighty bass than I prefer was amazing. If I could get close to that with the Mira I could have less of a dent in my account.

I have a Plinius CD-LAD preamp with a pass x250 amp so I don't think I will have a problem driving either of the rockports.
