Shakti Stone

Has anyone ever tried one of these? When placed on top of components, they claim it reduces electromagnetic interference.Seems like kind of a questionable claim.

Flame away. I use them in my system to excellent effect.  One on my preamp and one on my phono stage.  It takes all of 5 seconds to remove them and another 5 seconds to put them back. I have not personally experienced any loss of spaciousness, any darkening/veiling of sound, or attenuation of upper mids and high frequencies.  I just hear more detail.  Probably just confirmation bias.

I don't have the stones to reply to this but I do use tinkertoy creations for cable lifters. Is there a sea change? Who cares, my cables are suspended and I'm just fine. The dude abides.

Really ?? Damn that’s funny stuff. Next thing ya know some goon will be Hawking the e-mat crap again, MC where are you ??? He could probably sell silly Puddy rolled in Coloured metal flakes mounted on porcelain risers, lots of people who’ve left their lunch on the bus…Lol.

Cheers

Used one on the amp and one on the sacd player....sold them 3 months later.

@dmac67 - confirmation bias. Yup. Since you are aware, check an out of print, but easy to find  book called "The Biomedical Bestiary'. Published in the mid-80s, chapters are still used in epidemiology classes today. It explains - in a biomedical context - a lot of this hobby, as well as many misunderstandings in medical research. 'Measurable But Not Meaningful' is another favorite chapter.
