Sherwood Inktel TD-1120 tuner won't get a proper AM signal

I’ve recenctly gotten this tuner and it changes AM stations in increments of 9, not 10. I’m in Canada and want to get proper reception. From my research there’s a switch or setting that can do this on other tuners ment for US, EUR and Asian markets. I opened up the back of mine and I see some resistors with different connections, and a legend for connections for US and Europe AM bands. If I change the resistor connection r521 to position 1 from 0 give me the correct setting to use this in Canada? See image in link below. Would anyone have a service manual or advice to verify what I'm asking is right?
