Shure SM7db to Canon EOS Rebel SL3

Hey everyone,

I have a Shure SM7db and I'd like to hook it up to my Canon EOS Rebel SL3 so that I can record high-quality audio and video in the same clip without having to sync my audio in post production. I've tried running and aux cable directly from the microphone to the camera, but the audio has a lot of white static noise in the recordings when I do that. I've also tried using programs like OBS, but the video ends up looking kind of grainy. 

I know nothing about professional audio and am a total newbie here, so if someone could point me in the direction of the best way to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
