Suggestions for rca connector - diy interconnects
Been making my own cables for a while now (speaker, coax, instrument xlr). I’m now starting to do my own rca interconnects but am not well versed in the connectors that exist out there. I’m wondering if there are other DIY’ers that have favorites when it comes to rca connectors. I don’t really need anything extravagant but I am looking for good quality and something easy to work with. I have been down the WBT knock off route and it was a less than desirable experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! -Dave

Neutrik Profi …. Spring loaded ground contact: retractable element with separate wedge contacts which keeps the shell in the front position when engaged thus also providing a direct and strictly coaxial electrical connection from the socket via the shell to the cable shield https://www.neutrik.com/en/neutrik/products/phono-rca-connectors/profi-cable-connectors https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/rca-phono-plugs-neutrik-vs-wbt.675201/ |
Hi , - Neutrik is the standard for RCA and XLR and affordable. - ETI Research, Xhadow, KLEI, Oyaide, AECO are the best - Bang for the buck: EIZZ, Ramm, Viborg Try to get pure copper or tellurium copper plugs instead of an alloy of brass/phosphor bronze/nickel. Pin design (hollow for example) and plating is less important IMO. The base material sets the bar. |
