Swiss Digital FUSE BOX Question Thread

Good Day

Over the last several weeks I have been receiving questions daily about the Swiss Digital Fuse Box

I have asked permission to post this thread.

Questions, needs, comments etc. – feel free to post here

I’m hopeful that by starting this thread those interested can get their questions answered.

Thanks – Mark

So, before I venture into my own DIY project, the question I have is:

Is the SDFB better placed at the amp end or at the wall end?

BTW, I am using the AQ Dragon power cords,

@ozzy you have some great power cords! I did this so the Swiss boxes would be neat and tidy behind my gear.  Mark says both positions are fine, but closer to the actual piece of gear seems like a small plus should protection mode be needed.  I understand we are talking about a minuscule difference.

Thanks grannyring for your comments.

I am thinking though keeping the Dragon going into the amps will retain the "flavor" of the Dragon better.

Of course, being the never ending tweaker, I will probably try it at the (fuse box-w adapter) at the amp end too!

I have a hard time understanding how a sluggo could be directional.  I assume there are no wires, and it is just a solid piece of Copper, silver, Graphene, or other.  I have two SDFB with Graphene sluggoos for my Aries Cerat Dac and Lucas Audio MS.  Have you done testing to verify directionality?  Personally, one of the reasons I purchased the SDFB was that I did not want to deal with directional fuses.  I have a third SDFB coming for my Aries Cerat Ageto Pre.  That requires two sluggos.  Can you imagine the contortions I would have to go through to determine the direction for each?  It does not make sense to me.  Please provide your insight.  Thx

I just installed two more SDFBS with Graphene slugos in my DAC and tube preamp. I hope they are not directional. That would be four permutations. Access is very difficult.
