Tad1000 seem to lack power

Have Tad 1000 monos coming off a Tad 150. Waiting for Peter Ledermann to retip my cartridge. In the interim, I am using an iPhone and with my iPhone all the loud I am able to turn my 150 full blast and listen to it. Sound right?
