Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

Evolvist, no. I don't. I never got final dimensions.

Any reason you are looking at them vs what they already have out?
Evolvist,

I emailed Eric 2 days ago because I'm curious about the Mini Ulf's myself,I haven't received a reply yet.

I'm not sure he has the design that far along.

I will be looking for replacement speakers for my 2nd system in the future no great hurry.

Kenny.
There is a picture of "in wall double impacts" on the main page of the site this morning. Looks like a baffle speaker.
  • External baffle dimensions: 26" tall x width 15.75" x 0.75" deep
  • In-wall internal dimensions: 23.125" tall x 13" wide x 3.375" deep

  • @Vitop ...Well, if Eric considers the Ulfs to be the best speaker that he's ever made then I'm thinking why not get the best, yeah? There would be no need to pussyfoot around with the DI/Electrons if there's another model higher that's still in an affordable range.

At the same time, if Bullitt's DIs blow my socks off with my gear, in my room, I might just go with the DIs. They certainly would stand like sentinels in my room, though.

    Choices, choices...

    @evolvist

Great to hear that you and Bullitt had a terrific evening.

With the Linn as your front end, and with its Space Optimization, and the ABH2 driving Bullitt's DIs, I think you will be picking up your socks.

Happy to start a sock collection, should you lose yours. :)

    Enjoy the next audition adventure.
