1-6-2-5-8-3-7-4 Packard straight-8 firing order...
By the time we get to Merlins and Allisons, they’ll be dunking us in the Virtual Ether...

Buicks had an inline 8 too. Studebaker, Hercules, Gray marine, Industrial Ford, Waukesha, Cat, Detroit, Cummins. Allisons (sucked) and Merlin/Packard or Merlin/Rolls (was better), Deutz. Inline and V 8-16 I worked of a few turbans too. Guess what the firing order is on that.. LOL. IN and OUT. Wankel was weird too. Polluting pile of crap.. Detroit 2 strokes use to fill the streets with white unburned fuel.. It was everywhere. Loved that.. They would run on bacon fat, used oil, hydraulic oil, a little gas, if you put it in the fuel tank they would burn it.. Now they would blow up. I paid 17K each for a whole fleet of 359 Pete. 35 one year 40 the next. Now a fancy muffler is 15K. Go figure. What is this thread about? Brownies? I should have remembered that. One to many brownies I guess.. :-) Regards |
There are a lot of us here that are just getting started. We don’t have this common knowledge. That is why we come here. It’s tough to know the truth when the parents are fighting.
