I have an SL-1210M5G and have noted that it is recommended to oil the spindle every 1000 hours or so. Should I use the spindle oil as sold by KAB or can I use tried and true 3-N-1 oil or perhaps sewing machine oil?
If it were I, and you are talking about spindle oil, I would use spindle oil. There may be viscosity/additive issues that may or may not be good...oil is cheap in those amounts.
