Violin concertos/Symphonies....

Looking for robust, frantic, aggressive,heavy, peformances/recordings...mono preferred but stereo ok ..any suggestions?

His Bruckner 1st with the same orchestra is also mighty good. Also try Jochum's Bruckner Te Deum with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Also Von Karajan Beethoven's 3rd from the 1961 cycle but not from the later cycle's. Jochum's Bruckner cycle either on EMI or DG - very similar - also Wand's Bruckner 4 on RCA.
