VPI JMW 10.5i on a Scout

Can I put a JMW 10.5i arm with VTA on the fly on my older Scout in place of the JMW-9 Memorial arm that came with it? Are there any modifications involved with making the switch? Will it even fit? I've run across a 10.5i and would love to be able to use it on my Scout.

No, it won't work without modification. The pivot-to-spindle distance is different for each tonearm.

Figured as much, seems like a lot of trouble just to have a VTA on the fly feature.
