So how did these sound? I’m considering the Wharfedale Elysian 4 but can’t find much on them.
Wharfedale Elysian 2
Hoping to get additional feedback on these speakers. I took a leap of faith and purchased a pair online. Covid is still a thing here is NorCal and have not been able to get out and really listen to other options.
I’m looking for a larger size stand mount/monitor to fill out a 18x24 dedicated sound room. Will rotate through existing Maggie LRSs, Camerton Biom’s (with Purifi woofers), Buchardt A500s (active) and want to also look at Fyne F1-8s and the newer SF Olympica Novas. I have several sub options (even swarm x4), so can easily fulfill any low frequency needs.
I’m pretty much done with separates and hoping to utilize an all in one Streamer/DAC/Amp configuration (i.e. Lyngdorf 3400, NAD M33, etc). I do like Bruno/Hypex...
Currently have a custom DAC/Streamer using Purifi amplification. Really wanted to go down the active path, but after seeing these new Wharfedale’s, I couldn’t resist the temptation and had to see if they sound and look as good as the reviews online.
I have to say that the walnut finish is amazing. Probably the best I have seen. Even after owning B&W 802s, KEF Reference, and betters Sonus Faber...
I’ve been trying for years to find speakers that would pass the WAF....even though these are going into a dedicated room, my wife finally said they are beautiful speakers....go figure.
Now on to how they sound....time to break in and see if they sound as good as they look.
Appreciate your feedback... Thx
