What artists deserve a box set over view/compilation?
Dusted off a couple of old blues discs over the weekend and thought to myself- why don't these artists have a comprehensive box set? I usually enjoy the boxset format when they include live recordings and unreleased demos, etc. My nominees are the late great harmonica master William Clarke, Gene Harris, Luther Guitar Jr. Johnson, and Clarence Gatemouth Brown. Of course, you don't have to limit your selection to the blues genre, I was just in the mood. I am talking quality thoughtful releases, not just "best of' compilations.
