What do the arrows mean on my cable?

And how do I tell the difference between a digital cable and an RCA cable, they look the same.

Are the ones with the arrows more likely to be RCA for analog connections?

If the cable has arrows, is it very hard to hook it up following those arrows? hardship much? Or put it opposite of the arrows if that's what your heart desires.

I have no idea if it makes a difference, but I just do it that way anyway in case it does.
