What does a uncentered speaker sound like if you refoam and don't get the cone centered.

I did a set of Advent babys a while back. One sounds great the other has a sound like a cracked speaker when the base is higher. I can not find a crack in the paper cone so I am assuming I did not get the speaker centered. Next time I will use the tone method but wondered what it sounds like when an uncentered speaker is used.

1st time I paid a pro. got em home, one coil rubbed, he re-did them.

1st time I did them, they were still downward firing. done, reinstalled, great, then, randomly, what's that little noise??

eventually, inside, found one of the staples holding the insulation had gotten loose and occasionally would bounce on the back of the woofer. what an easy fix.

It will sound scratchy due to the coil rubbing in the coil gap and will ruin the coil and coil wire if it is not fixed right away.

Well I foamed it and its not out of center that is the issue.
