I am so sorry for posting more than one "favourite". 

Unfortunately my favourite changes with my mood and the circumstances under which I hear it. So you are just going to have to put up with this anarchy.

Warren Zevon did Knockin on Heavin's Door (I believe) after he'd been diagnosed  with terminal cancer.
