What's Your Favorite Vinyl That Never Made It To CD or Digital?

When cd's entered the marketplace as a new way to listen to music, I immediately started to buy a cd copy of my favorite vinyl when it became available.  Alas, a lot of my favorite vinyl never made its way to cd or digital in any form.

Mitch:

Thanks (a lot).

The cover looks different than what I recall (can't get to the box set now). but I'm on it.

“Newbury Sings His Own” - Mickey Newbury
It’s not on CD, iTunes or Spotify, and only the awesome highlight “Weeping Annaleah” from this LP is on YouTube, nothing else.

The best version of “Sweet Memories” is here (my goodness what extraordinary singing! - the vocal sound/recording is equally amazing -wow)

I cool, aggressive take on his “Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In” is also here, as well as a tremendous Mickey Newbury/TownesVan Zandt composition, “The Queen.”

One issue, 1972 (US, UK, South Africa, and a Japanese promo) and that’s it

David Foreman (David Foreman on Arista)

Richard Davis - Philosophy of the Spiritual

Another good album that got one issue (1969 US & Canada) that, interestingly enough also features a version of Mickey’s “Sweet Memories” is “Good Times” by Willie Nelson.

One of the more…um…interesting…choices for album art you’ll see.
