@dayglow I was able to pick it up for 40 bucks and couldn't resist. I haven't gotten very far into it, the phone rang a couple of times, but the vinyl appears to be in close to pristine condition and sounds great.

Spencer, I was really excited when I saw it was reissued. I'm going to try to return it and hopefully get a decent copy.

Spencer, thanks for the heads up on the European version of Fashion Fugget. I may give that a try.

A big thumbs up for Plaid Room records.  They responded quickly to my email about the defective Cake record and have another one on the way along with a return label.  I may still pick up the European pressing also.

Cruising through one of my favorite sections of my record collection... Grateful Dead - Blues for Allah.

Steve, I have a 1974 record club pressing of that album. I didn't get a chance to compare them back to back but the Japan pressing sounds really good. One of the warmest Japanese imports that I've heard and in NM condition.

Jeff Beck - Truth. This is a Friday Music reissue. It sounds surprisingly good.

The Plaid Room new releases email arrived this afternoon and I only ordered two records.  Patting myself on the back for restraint.

@reubent Tom, Plaid Room does a great job of marketing and they have a great website and good customer service. We have a great local record store that I support but I probably buy more new records from Plaid Room due to the convenience factor.

Joel, those speakers are beautiful and sound fantastic. Love the woodwork. I wonder if your speakers are the ones we saw/ heard at  Pacific Audio Fest.

Brian, I'm continuing to work through my collection and get them all play-graded and in Discogs.  What a long strange trip it's been!  And still a ways to go... the Dead occupy a lot of space in my collection.

Great White - Once Bitten.  I remember being really into this when if first came out.  I thought they showed a lot of promise, and then...

Cake - Fashion Nugget.  This is a replacement for the one I got that was all jacked up. This one has a light warp but not too bad. So far, so good.

I can't recommend the US reissue of Fashion Nugget. It was fogged, had a small skip on one side, the light warp, and it sounded like the second side had a scratch at the end, although nothing was visible.  The European reissue in the other hand is really nice.

Spencer, that seems odd. Maybe the drone you communicated with didn't bother to ask and just made that up.

@slaw I think it's possible that Plaid Room just got a bad batch.  Maybe I'm being overly picky.   It's not uncommon to experience some of these issues on other records.  Having said that, this is one of my favorite records ever and the EU version is excellent, so this one is going back.

Anne Bisson - Blue Mind. This is the 33 RPM autographed version gifted by friend Jim.

Lenny Kravitz - Mama Said. I was going to kick back today and listen to a few records but my vintage PC decided to blow its power supply, so that didn't happen. Hopefully I can get one or two records in before bedtime.

@sbank Spencer, definitely one of my favorite soundtracks, so many memories from my youth.  I could do without the 2nd record though.
