Ms. Brackeen edges out an excellent all digital Marsalis recording for the SQ crown. RIP Peter Yarrow.

Arthur Fiedler/Boston Pops-Fabulous Broadway Side 1 SQ* Rush-Exit...Stage Left Side 4 Carpenters-A Kind Of Hush Side 2 SQ* Head East-Flat As A Pancake Side 1 Anita Baker-Giving You The Best That I Got Side 2 SQ* South Pacific-Kanawa/Carreras(SM 42205) Side 1 SQ Audiophile Malo-Dos Side 1 SQ Audiophile Jackie Cain And Roy Kral-Concerts by the Sea Side B SQ Audiophile With 3 Audiophile SQ and 3 SQ*(near miss) makes for a well above average SQ night. With 4 unolayed discs Malo 2 was the standout Hush is a very solid Carpenter album that might get overlooked, Kanawa/Carreas make the cut but Fieldler has to go! Very tough Audiophile crown pick since none are demo level. The all digital South Pacific takes the crown due to its balance. With 4 unplayed LP's tonight brings my played total to 13 this year with about 75? left. Would like to close out this project by late April. |
