@slaw Yeah, love old recordings, sweet sound quality. Nostalgia and the Golden age of recording. My gear loves it.

Dire Straits "S/T"

MFSL/45RPM

. These were among the last great releases by this label

Pat Kirby - What is this Thing Called Love (mono Decca 1957)

The clarity of these 50s recordings is ridiculous. Best black backgrounds.

Rachel Sumner – Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light (Nine Athens Music 2022)

The Griller String Quartet with William Primrose, Mozart, Quintets K. 516 And K. 515 - (Vanguard Everyman Classics 1964)

“Morphine    "Good"  (a Music On Vinyl pressing--- nice)”

Better than nice!

I watched the first two episodes of the Stax story I think on Apple maybe HBO on the plane. I highly recommend and can’t wait to see the rest!

But that got me pull out the original mono stax Green Onions, original Stax Albert King Born Under a Bad Sign and the Otis Redding Otis Blue on Volt also mono (I’ve been on a mono kick and have my cartridge on).

This stuff is so soulful and timeless. And bad ass, and of course essential to rock n roll. Fun stuff!

Frank Zappa     "Apostrophe  (*)"

Tom Waits     "Mule Variations"

Frank Zappa    "Waka Jawacka"
