Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

ghosthouse,

You are correct! Against the Grain is fantastic. I've heard it before but it has been a while. I really like the keyboards on this one. Have you heard Defender? Check it out if you have not. It's good, though maybe not a good as some of his other work. I really like "I ain't no Saint".

Next- earlier in the thread Arcamm88 recommended Michael Sweet "One Sided War". I Highly recommend it as well. Listened to it twice yesterday.  Solid thru and thru. Check out "Radio". Great recording. Great guitarist! Great vocalist.

Next from 1992, I listened to Lynch Mob S/T. Solid disc, great recording. (Though I belive its only available on mp3 now) George Lynch fresh from Dokken. I was fortunate to attend a show at Bogarts in Cincinnati. I like this disc better than "Wicked Sensation", which is great also. Any Lynch fans in the crowd?

Hey Nutty - Glad you picked up on the keyboards. I was going to mention them but did not. It’s Lou Martin, formerly of Killing Floor.
I enjoy his playing a lot. He can burn up that electric piano. There’re a few clips of him in a great Rory Gallagher concert film, "Irish Tour ’74". Worth watching if you have not seen it (although in the DVD I got, the sound isn’t all that great).

Never heard Defender. Trying to find it for a listen. See it on Amazon but not seeing it on Spotify or Tidal. Will try YouTube.

Killing Floor if you are interested...pretty raw.

ghosthouse,
I really like Killing Floor. Listened to it through the Oppo. Really stripped down, really bloozy! Love the keyboards, Martin is relentless.  The lead guitar is great, lots of energy in the band but Martin is in the zone. Thanks for the link!
