With the passing of Oscar Peterson, I thought it would be great to hear some of your favorites. For me no one even came close to Oscar Peterson. He had the speed and agility of Bud and Monk, and the grace of Bill evans and brubeck. He had no equal.
THERE ARE SO MANY SERIOUS JAZZ PIANO PLAYERS OF MERIT, BUT I WILL GIVE ALL YOU GUYS TWO OF MY FAVORITES. IF YOU CAN CHECK THEM OUT. 1) LARRY WILLIS WHO PLAYS WITH THE FORT APACHE BAND. 2) HILTON RUIZ / CHECK OUT PIANO MAN ON THE STEEPLECHASE LABEL//
Monk & Evans. Two that don't get enough attention: Willie "the Lion" Smith and Lennie Tristano. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDMOkgSdy3E&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73VkZeAaRAY&feature=related
