Worthwhile to upgrade from Roon nucleus to innuos zenith mk3

Right now I have a roon nucleus feeding into a lumin X-1 streamer/dac.

Would it be worthwhile to upgrade the nucleus to the innuos Zenith mk3 server/ streamer??

Don't plan to use the CD ripper but might be nice at some point.

Not sure the roon nucleus is all that good for the greatest in sound quality.

Anybody know if upgrading makes sense?

it really depends on how you are using both, the Lumins USB port can be configured as an output or input if you are using USB in to the Lumin the upgrading to a higher quality server will improve your sound quality.

We were a Innous dealers and then we dropped Innous for the 432evo music servers.

the 432evo Aeon was directly compared to an Innous statement next gen which costs three times more and the Aeon was found too sound just as good

so if you do a direct hookup via usb to the lumin with a remarkably good server yes you can take the x1 to an even higher level

I have run Roon on my Zenith Mk3 with absolutely no problems (no DSP).  That said I prefer the Sense App's SQ and it is very intuitive to use.

You need both.  Don't put your core on the zenith.  It should stand alone.
