Maybe he would accept my original Sony Walkman in trade, the one with the blue leather case. It's in very good condition and more or less changed the future of the world, so I would think it's worth at least $1 MM?

Can anyone else recall a story like this?

What is the most ridiculous offer you have ever seen?
cwlondon
And only $3K to ship that load of crap! Obviously he subscribes to the "bigger fool" theory.
That offer has been on eBay for quite some time. Oh well, it's his money he's wasting (listing fees).
The Seller states that he would consider an offer of 10% of the asking price. Apparently, he had listed the same equipment for $15K previously. The Seller demands payment through PayPal but evidently he is unaware that PayPal will automatically freeze his account should anyone transfer funds in the amount of $10K, or more. It's likely, given his low feedback, that they would not release the funds to him for 6 months. This period of time eliminates the possibility of a chargeback from the Buyers credit-card company, which would leave PayPal holding the bag if they paid-out the cash to the Seller before-hand. Great sales effort on the Sellers part but it's likely he is in for a PayPal surprise.
AND---Not so far from home;meaning,here---A guy has a 15/18 year old former top pre. Nowadays they go for 1k--he is asking six times the price.---Feeling stupid??? ---I don't know about the free shipping, tho.
