Great country music recording

PS I think Markanetz meant "Ry Cooder" (not Ray), and I'd second that recommendation.

One of my favorite cd's is Mary Chapin Carpenter's "C'mon, C'mon". Beautiful voice and guitar.

Excellent recording and every slow song (about half the tracks on the cd) is beatifully done.

Ry Cooder's Jazz country ? Get serious !
Great album, but I would call it blues with a heavy jazz influence !

"New York" by the Peter Malick Group with Norah Jones!
Country/Blues, I guess you'd call it. Find Jones' two hit
albums rather bland and boring - but wait until you hear her on this album!!! Read somewhere that she prefers country, and you can tell by her voice on this!
