Help please...recommendations on affordable power

I have an entry level system except for my new Ohm Micro Walsh speakers.

I am trying out the Monster HTS1000. I bought it because it is the only brand sold at the superstores. I do notice a difference in picture quality and sound, but am thinking with your help maybe I could do better for the $150.00 the monster unit cost me. Is Furman an upgrade in quality? Is this all wishful thinking?

If you have an entry level system, I doubt that a more expensive line conditioner would be worth it. What exactly are your components?

The monster HTS 1000 is actually a great value - I have a 2000 on my home theater system and for kicks bought a 1000 for my audio system and it was a nice improvement in overall terms, mostly clarity. I prefer going directly into the wall with dedicated lines but the 1000 was interesting.

My components? I plan on piecing together upgrades over the next two years.
HK AVR230 - Will add amp then preamp
Sony CD
Panasonic DVD
Hatachi VHS
Panasonic non hi-def flat screen TV
My first upgrade has been Ohm Micro Walsh Speakers.
