Armor-all

I was browsing thru some old stereophile mags the other day and found an article of this, feb 1990 issue, raving about the sonic benefits of treating cd's so i tried it. i can't decide if i like it or not, it definitely changes the sound, much cleaner highs. anyone do this on a regular basis? what's your take on it?

WOW, This thread is getting a lot of positive response. And I just happen to have an unopened can of armor-all in the garage. I think I'll do my whole collection. Mine as well do the DVD's too. Hope I don't run out.

NOT!:~)
Whoa, boys. They now have a "grease free" formula that has eliminated the cloudiness! (Be sure to apply it in a counterclockwise direction.) Try that and get back to us.
That's what i thought but i couldn't remember the outcome of that controversy - I did 2 cds out of boredom and i didn't like the sound anyway - some of the audio press is absolutely ludicrous trying to fill pages. i do use optrix and it solves skipping unless the problem is severe but i don't notice any real sonic improvements. it will shine up your tires though!
