Anyone hear the Von Schweikert DB-99?

Does anyone own or heard this speaker? If so, please give me your impressions.

Also, what are the sonic benefits (if any) in a high efficency speaker over regular efficency?

Thanks

Tony,I keep my bass amp setting at high noon but of course the bass volume setting is room and system dependent...clipping means distorting from overload....if the amp is shutting down during real complex passages and loudly played that sounds like clipping and the protection circuit kicks in to protect the gear.Check out my system photo...speakers 10 feet apart, and 4 feet from front wall (distance to rear of speaker).

How would one go about stopping clipping? I keep my speakers about 9ft appart and about 5 1/2 feet from back wall
Hey Tony,

So did you get to fix the bass amp problem? It does sound like it's clipping. The only way to stop it from clipping, in my opinion, is for you to lower the volume. Gosh, at what db do you listen at? Do you rock the house?

Keith
Hey,

Yes I did get this fixed. May be a bit beyond me to explain as I a not technical but I added some homemade bass traps and I suppose it changed the pressure in the room because it made the clipping go away. I LOVE these speakers. Just read they are dropping them from the line- too bad. Glad I have these.

Thanks for asking

Best

Tony
