Von Schweikert VR4Jr how is it w/o biwire?

Hello: A few questions for owners of the VR4 Jr or VR4 Gen III SE. I'm looking for more more powerful low end and improved sonics than my Def Tech BP 7002s. Has anyone used the optional data link connector instead of biwiring? I've never biwired before. Is the performance of the Vons diminished by using the data link? Thank you.

The VR4jr does not live up to its potential when used with the data link. At the very least one should use a matching jumper to connect the bass module to the top module. Best performance will be had using double bi-wire (shotgun) with this speaker and the Gen III.
My Gen. III's, (front), are wired with Acoustic Zen Satori Shotgun. My 4jr's, (rear), are wired with Audioquest Types 2 & 4 to very good effect.
Also, both of these speakers perform their best with plenty of power. They like some sauce in front of 'em.

Yes the performance is diminished if you use the datalink. It's even mentioned in the manual. Adding leadshot, biwire (or biamp), and using spikes are a must.
Agree wholeheartedly with the previous posters. Bi-wire is a must, as is lead shot and upgraded spikes. Do all three and you'll have a VERY different speaker from stock.
how to bi-wire if my power amplifier has only 1 set of output connection? can I use 2 different brands of cables and clamp plus-plus and minus -minus on my power amplifier?
most importantly will it damage my power amplifier?
