vandersteen 2wq sub placement

i got a second sub with no spikes my first one had spikes does this make a difference since the new one sits directly on the floor with no area like the one with spikes? best placement with two subs using 2ce signatures

Yes, you should use the spikes. Placement is covered in the manual... If that's not sufficient, start in the corners of your speaker wall and work from there. Also, your local dealer should be able to help with suggestions.
