Anyone tried out the new Mac 6500's phono section? I have a Dual 1229 w/ Shure Type-VMR. It sounds a little thin on some recordings with my vintage Luxman L85V integrated.
It's very decent. It's not a stand-alone high dollar phono stage, but it's easily good for your front end (which I also owned, but not at the same time as the MA6500), and I'd never characterize it as thin.
