Have there been any anouncements as to if and where this year's expo will be held. I am under the impression that it'll be in new york. It seems to occur in May, thats what happened the last 4 years other than 2006 when it didn't make it to New York.
Rumor has it that given the significant costs increases in the CES, 2008 and 2009, most manufacturers are going to pass up on participation and financial support for local shows. Dealer's, even the big ones like Sound by Singer in New York City, have found that they are not cost effective.
I DON'T GET IT! We have some of the best minds actively involved in this industry-hobby. The future of this industry relies on exposure, I would hate to see these shows disappear. Can anyone think of alternatives? How about choosing a location outside manhattan but inside of nyc.
