I tried the setup with my VAC amp with N802's not d version. The lower crossover is rather high for all 802's at 350hz, and as I recall the impedance is lowest at 60Hz (around 3.5 ohm), but it is a narrow trough. I did not hear an improvement. One would think it would work great but in reality it just didn't. You can try it and see what you think.
McIntosh 402 Bi-wired to B&W 802d's
Anyone out there try bi-wiring a McIntosh Amp (402) to a pair of B&W 802d's using the 8 Ohm connects for the "highs" and the 4 Ohm connects for the "Lows"? Let me know your results. Thanks!
