It Was 40 Years Ago Today...

Born To Run, released this day:

August 25, 1975

And the world saw the future of Rock & Roll, and his name was Bruce Springsteen.
courant
..he is the -1%er especially with his alleged involvement with ticket prices and Stub Hub ... lost him after ;
'' Born in the USA ''....
Never got him until I heard him with an acoustic guitar and no band behind him. Still can't stand the E-Street Band stuff.
He's a performer better seen live and in a small club, which hasn't been possible for years now. The energy he creates in an intimate setting is dissipated in a stadium, and he isn't a great recording artist, I don't feel. The people who got to see him before B2R are lucky indeed!
Without question, the most important artist of his generation, and the greatest live rock performer of all time. A consistent and passionate advocate for working people, veterans and the needy since finding his voice in the late 70s.
