Cincinnati, OH, any audiophiles?

Any Cincinnati, OH -based audiophiles on this forum? I have found only one truly high end dealer here, and they are leaning more and more towards high end home theater so they tend to be quite busye, and no longer set up truly "reference" systems one can listen to for calibration. Would love to get into touch with other fellow maniacs in the area Hard to know what else you "need" unless you can hear it and covet it in someone else's set up!

Guys: Hope the holiday was good to all. I have some interesting bits in my system for a short time. Eggleston Andra 2 (or my Dali Helicon 800) speakers; Spectral amp with MIT wires; Miajima Shilabe cartridge; Nottingham Ace-Space deck with heavy platter (30 lbs); Ypsilon phono pre and stepup ($$$$$), Modwright preamp; several interesting tweaks. I have most of this on loan this week and would be available for an afternoon or evening up until Friday evening if anyone is interested in hearing this unusual setup. I think it sounds pretty good.

Hi Guy's,

If anyone is interested in hearing some great local jazz check out a group called Slice. They play at Parker's Grill at the corner of Reed Hartman highway and Cooper Rd. in Blue Ash about once a month. They will be there Friday and Saturday Jan. 21 and 22. I think they play from about 6:30-10:30 on Friday and 7:00-11:00 on Saturday. The group consists of keyboards, tenor sax, drums, and guitar. Most of the music is straight jazz. They mix in a little James Taylor type music with a jazz flair. My wife and I try to catch them every month. It is a good time and the food at Parker's is very good.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Over the Rhine had their new CD launch at Joseph Beth Booksellers at Rookwood Commons tonight, giving a free concert and signing CDs and posters. The new CD is entitled The Long Surrender. I think most Cincinnati audiophiles should be familiar with the band, as they are from here and have some of the most well-mastered stuff out there. This CD takes it to a whole new level with producer Joe Henry crafting an amazing album.

If you want to really hear some instruments in space, check out track #9, "The King Knows How." Absolutely incredible.
Thanks for the update. I have three of their CD's. I usually catch them at Canal Street in Dayton. They are a unique blend with great chemistry and talent.
guys: the man i bought my amplifier from has one that he wants to sell. it sounds like it could be a good buy for someone. it is in good working order and sounds great. it seems like this would be enough power for anyone, but he is always looking for more. price is $2,900.00 (i think they were five figures when new). if anyone is interested, contact me.
