Burn in cd or cable cooker

I have the Purist burn in Cd- if I use that is it the same as using a cable cooker to burn in the wires- thks
fluffers
It’s not the same. The amount of voltage from your CDP, preamp, amp is much lower than a cable cooker.
A cable cooker can generate a continuous high-current thru the cables.

Some good info...

I think using the Purist CD may be worthwhile due to the wide range of frequencies it will generate. But many music CDs are also good for burn-in when you let them play on a continuous loop.
I’m a fan of the XLO Test CD burn in track, a fifteen minute affair that you put on REPEAT and let play for as long as you can stand it. Two weeks is quite admirable.
